PASSING OF LYLE FRISBY, PHYSIQUE PHOTOGRAPHER, COMES AS GREAT SHOCK TO HIS FRIENDS. We are always saddened by the death of someone we know, but we were particularly shocked by the death of Lyle Frisby who was only 28 years. Cause of the death was cancer of the blood which was not detected until an autopsy was performed. Lyle was a tall, handsome fellow, looked the picture of health.
He had a keen interest in his work and because of the kind indulgence of his parents was able to invest considerably more into his photography that he ever took out. Before going into business on his own, he worked briefly with us at AMG. He had hardly had his shop open a year when he was called into the armed services for two years, but fortunately even here he was able to do photographic work and thus further his knowlege. Lyle had very high and critical standards and was beginning to develop an excellent style which was greatly admired. Just recently he had finished the complete remodelling of his studio, and the finishing touches were just being made when he was taken ill. Doctors mistakenly diagnosed the illness as double pneumonia, and therefore proper treatment was not made. It seems unfair and unreasonable that one so young should have been snatched away just at the outset of a great career.
